Nah, no test, simply talking to these people.  Understanding or trying to understand what's causing their pain.  I'd always thought suicide was a super self-centered thing to do, but I heard it explained to me in a way that really made me think.  Some of these folks are so tormented by their own thoughts, that they'd rather end it all than continue to exist.  That's...shocking to think about, to me.  It really is.

I agree that you're not going to save them all, and I agree that there's nothing that says they even need to go and seek such services, however, those who do, may be indirectly calling for help.

That comes down to how this would be handled, for example if people are paying clinics the's a huge risk that this becomes a business and the vulnerable are knocked off for profit with minimal checks. I'd much rather these people live and this law be swept aside tbh, it's a bit of a hard situation for me to accept as I know various people who have relatives who are vulnerable as well as having parents who suffered depression.

Like I said I feel for the terminally ill but the can of worms this could open s a bit too much imo, all we can hope for is maybe one day medical precedures will reach a point where a semblance of a normal life can be given to these people so such an option will never be thought of.
