But that's the whole point you can't tell people they can decide if they want to die then turn around and put them through a test in order to proceed especially as it can be argued that the are already ways to help such people, you either give them the right or you don't. This whole topic is argued from the point of view of someone terminally ill which is fair enough but once you take into account that the are people battling metal issues and that the are people happy enough to take advantage of that it becomes grim fast. It may upset a few people but I agrre on the stance on just preserve life to avoid all that, this is why Governments and the law don't want any of this to fly as euthunasia clinics can effectively turn into suicide clinics or on a more sinister note a means for someone to knock someone else off. |
Nah, no test, simply talking to these people. Understanding or trying to understand what's causing their pain. I'd always thought suicide was a super self-centered thing to do, but I heard it explained to me in a way that really made me think. Some of these folks are so tormented by their own thoughts, that they'd rather end it all than continue to exist. That's...shocking to think about, to me. It really is.
I agree that you're not going to save them all, and I agree that there's nothing that says they even need to go and seek such services, however, those who do, may be indirectly calling for help.
