I have searched for the source of these numbers many times but have not found any.

thanks for that, but i'm highly skeptic of those numbers, and yeah it would be great to see how they would fare now way into 2016 after the ps4, wiiu are in their midlife. 

i'd love to see a breakdown of the ps2 vs gamecube era numbers, that surely can't be correct
