So in summary, this is beneficial because this will allow for more technological progress and at the same time consumers will be able to play new games on their PS4 (2013 version) for many more years than they could otherwise.

that... and I think you should read the article. :)

No, just no. Let's be honest. How many people who own a PS4 will buy the PS4 Neo? If Sony keeps the original and cheaper PS4 along side the PS4 Neo, there is no way parents and casual gamers will buy the most expensive version that plays the EXACT same games as the cheaper one. It's nuts.  I can't believe that some people go out of their way to defend such dumb move.

Apps run just the same on an iPad I bought 4 years ago and one that I can buy today. I can still find a four year old iPad for sale for significantly less than what a 2016 model costs. Yet that doesn't seem to stop people from buying it.

And you don't seem to get it. Sony doesn't care if you buy A PlayStation 4 or a PlayStation neo or a PlayStation neo2. They just want you to buy a PlayStation. it doesn't matter if you are going for the premium experice or the core one. At the end of the day you are buying the ecat same game.

Another thing is this, neo comes out at $400 and PS4 drops to $299. PS4 outsells neo 5:1. next year neo drops in price to $299 and there is no more a PS4. two years after that neo2 is released for $399 and again neo outsells it 5:1.....

either way. all the while Sony is just selling Playstations

Oh great ! Another topic with that '' console generations as we know it are over ''.

One of the best example why I think it won't work is the Saga Genesis. Remember that x32 ? Yep. it floped, as it would if upgradable componements where made for the next generation.

People awareness is not high enough to try something like this.

If you think this is the same as the  Sega Genesis and 32x....... well, well........ I domt know what to say to you.

Chew on this tho, the 32x had games that while you needed a Genesis to play, wouldn't work unless you had the 32x. I'm sure that had something to do with it flopping.

The upside with consoles is that I won't or need to buy a new one every 3-5 years so that I can play same game now or 5 years from now.... now? yeah fu**k you Sony. this is the last time...

I you still defend this kind of sh*t... you deservre the pain.

Here's the shocker though.....

YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY A NEW CONSOLE EVERY 3-5 YEARS.

Yup. no one is forcing you to do that if you are content what whatever ur getting on your current console. When I play FF15 on the Neo, and you play it on the PS4, you and I will have the exact same story to tell about the game. Not a difference. unless we were playing it on the same room with two TVs side by side eachother with a rez and frame counter attached tho.

You know another shocker, if you choose to by the PS4K2 6-7yrs after you bought your PS4, your console isn't just better, but you can toss in FF15 on that box and it will be better than you remember it being. and that way you still upgrade every 6-7yrs. While I may choose to upgrade every 3yrs. Choices man......
