Framerates: How low is too low?

That takes some pretty serious power, my GPU has it running at a good 70fps, with the occassional dip into the mid 60's. I'm running a EVGA GTX 980Ti. Oh, don't ever activate Nvidia Hairworks in TW3 (if you buy a Nvidia card), it murders the fps (as in almost halves it).

You're gonna need some serious oomph though, going for 75fps. Which resolution are you thinking? I'm running my games in 1440p.

The resolution is 2560x1080. I went with a 29" ultrawide, 75Hz, Freesync, IPS and I love it so far, perfect size for my desk and I wanted to try out the 21:9 aspect ratio. Figured if I was to splash almost 1000 Euro on a good 34" monitor, I want it to be 34" ultrawide, curved, Freesync, 1440k, 144Hz, IPS. There is no such monitor on the market at the moment, so I'm gonna wait with this cheap but absolutely satisying 29" one Hopefully A monitor with these specs costs around 500-600 Euro in 2 years so I can comfortably afford one

I hope I'll be able to run all games at 75fps for quite some time. I have the i5 6600k (watercooled), 16 GB DDR4 3000MHz CL15 RAM, an OC friendly MoBo in ASUS Ranger, so I hope to do some OC. Now all I have to do is buy the proper GPU that's going to give me enough juice to run the whole machine. I plan to wait for Polaris and get the R9 480 at least, but I have to wait for some tests before I decide which one to get.

I've heard about Hairworks. Crazy impact, but the hair does look good
