Giving them a second configuration isn't going to improve the situation, it's going to make it worse. One of, if not both, configurations are likely to get short changed. Unlike PC, consoles are a closed environments. So you don't even have the possibility of modders improving the games stability. 

I have no doubt that if a game works on the PS4, it'll work better on the Neo, just by default.
