You need more than marketing and cute characters to hook the casual user though. You need a game that is instantly playable and understandable to someone who has never played a video game or used a video game controller in their life. I'm not sure if this title was created for that purpose. It still might be a great game, but I don't know if it has that hook that can draw in a non-technical user.
I can hand a Wiimote with Wii Sports to anyone and have them playing with little to no instruction. I just don't see that being possible with LBP.
