| binary solo said: I'm talking new games. The DF info listed 1080p minimum resolution for the Neo for all new games. In the grand scheme of things remasters are an irrelevance now. They helped early gen with getting over the lack of actual new gen games, but now we're into the swing of things remasters don't matter. So the only games of consequence to be talking about are new games that will be released after Sony's line in the sand date for incorporating Neo into game development. |
Yet DF has never stated that every game requires a NEO mode from October on, only that games released from October onwards either need to have it day 1 or not at all.
Sony is very keen on developers supporting both systems simultaneously, and is motivating developers to ensure that there is Neo support in all PS4 titles from Q4 onwards this year.
Again not required. If an indie developer or other lower budget games only want to supply PS4 code, will they be rejected?
Also the only requirement for a NEO version so far is 1080p minimum, the rest are all restrictions.
Anyway bit off topic here. Dunno if MS is in any position to disrupt Sony's console reign. They can launch a 249,- slim and focus on good exclusives. But I think Nintendo with NX is in a better position to touch Sony's current market share. UWP is not going to do anything to Sony. IMO both Sony and MS are busy shooting themselves in the foot.
