I think it more made me realize I should just buy gaming pc. After the initial purchase which costs a lot of money, it seems like it's going to be the cheaper choice in the long run, as consoles can't competitively price themselves anymore and there are more and more games (even "exclusive" console games) that find their way to PC.
In the end you get better vr, and better gameplay and performance.
Also, it really puts the "PS4 has the power to last 10 years" statements from people when it first released in perspective.
