We don't live in a post-racial, happy-mappy society, people still make a million assumptions about a person based on their skin color because it's so ingrained into us, it's probably a tribal mechanism. 

Nah, I doubt it's very different. In fact, I doubt it's much different being white or black. Difference between rich and poor - now, that'll be a shock.
