Of course I don't honestly believe one race owes another race something. I was just describing it in the same flippant way barney had because he made it seem that there was some sort of repayment to be had in the first place and that it was already "paid for" and if he was going with this misguided thinking then he would be wrong and it wouldn't have been paid for already.
Anyways, my main point is that we need to have some serious social and institutional changes so that each and every one of us and the generations to come can benefit and live a better life and not be limited by our race. And I think that the only way to truly get past what had happened is to face these harsh realities of racial discrimination and how whites have been historically favored over other races (and still are). Like I said in my first post, no one has to feel guilty about anything but we all have to accept and give recognition and thought to what had happened and what is continually happening today.
