Well ps4 games are required to run worse than the ps4k versions, so there's that.

A game's frame-rate must meet or exceed its equivalent performance level on base PlayStation 4 hardware.

PS4.5 "must meet or exceed" PS4.0 does not equate to PS4.0 must run worse than PS4.5.  Except in self-induced butt-hurt land.

IMHO, Vivster's original thread concept is valid and interesting...
Especially on multiplayer games where performance gap would be bad, devs may now emphasize core performance like FPS on PS4.0,
in effect holding back on "bling" graphics they can fully implement on PS4.5, but that they otherwise would have sacrificed FPS for on PS4.

What's the opposite of >= ? Ok worse or equal is fine too.

I imagine resolution to be dropped first. Why isn't bling held back from the XBox One version to emphasize core performance like FPS? The ps4 install base will be the largest for a long time, if not always. Parity in visuals is what devs seem to prioritize most. But true in multiplayer they would have no other choice to drop effects to ensure the same fps and no advantage in resolution, although even that doesn't make it entirely fair. Less smoke effects and particles would actually make it easier. It might just be entirely more plausible that multiplayer runs in ps4 mode without NEO anything...
