Consoles gamers have always cared about visuals and performance. The general public a lot less so then the people on these forums.
As far as the backlash on here, I don't know who its mostly been coming from. Either way, no one wants to have to throw up $399 in cash to get $99 dollars worth of upgrade so Its understandable.
As a console gamer I like the idea of having a choice for premium hardware, I don't like that you have to replace your entire box. N64DD is the right way to go about this in future.
