It's a good way to enable your console to last longer. And using the N64 expansion pack argument makes 0% sense. The OP mentions like a PC meaning it will be hardware up-gradable. In order for this to happen, the upgrade aspects must be even more dummy proof than building a PC. Which shouldn't be too hard. The technology is indeed here unlike in 1996. I'd much rather have a console for 10-15 years that has the same name but new games with upgradable CPU, RAM, etc. But that's just me. I don't want to have generations anymore. Especially if they're as stale as the 8th. But VR and Wii U are probably the redeeming factors imo.
