How are you splitting anything if there is no exclusive content?
If people are fine with the performance of the current PS4 then they can keep it and nothing will change. If they're not, they can get the better model. If anything, this broadens the base.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
