No it's not, its an incremental upgrade. All iphone 6 software works on the 5. All firmware works on the five.
When Sony is at their 9th revision of the PS4 after almost a decade, then you can talk about the decline of the PS4.9.
Until then, you get look at the 8 years of overwhelming success that led to that slump. A slump that is still a massive success.
