That source is a legit source and shows actual differences in hardware, unlike your guess of greater gap then Spain.

Your arguments of the software is somewhat odd since Vita is older then the Wii U and does not have support in the west anymore. Most Vita sales were in 2012, 2013 and 1st half of 2014. It is a shame we don't have Vita shipments but the very little sales sources we get show Vita is competitive with Wii U in terms of sales.

It is clear Wii U is gaining in Germany, US, and France in 2016 But the lead Vita had varies per country. If I had a gaf account, I could dig up a bunch of posts showing historical sales data between the two. But I don't so I can only cherry pick.

For example: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=67988416&postcount=121

(Q1 2012) 160k Vita to 0 Wii U software. About equal 110k in 2013 which was a drop from 2012. Should be obvious Vita got most of its lead from 2012 not 2016.

Wait a second, were you talking about France and Germany individually all this time? Because I wasn't. What I was saying is Wii U in France+Germany+Spain > Vita in France+Germany+Spain, but Vita > Wii U in Europe as a whole.

I mentioned software (for Germany) because if software doesn't show up, then who would be buying the hardware? If there's any notable amount of hardware being sold, then at least some software would have to chart every now and then in a list that shows 100 entries per week.

The sales sources we have show that the Vita is competitive during the first ten months of the year, but it's losing a lot of ground in November and December.

So what about worldwide shipments? Do you think the Vita is still ahead?

Sources say Vita France+Germany+Spain> Wii U  France+Germany+Spain. Mostly because of Spain.

@bold Wii U is outselling Vita in 2016 and probably 2015 due to the software.

See above images for Vita outselling Wii U by quite a bit in Spain, Italy, UK, Belgium and staying even in Germany, France, Netherlands. Now with software drought on Vita the Wii U is outselling the Vita in Germany, France and Netherlands, but it probably has not beaten it in Spain, Italy, UK, Belgium.

I think Vita Worldwide shipments are ahead, it simply is in more countries then the Wii U so it probably has more standing stock then Wii U.
