1. Trick question: http://www.latribune.fr/technos-medias/20150210trib562875d47/jeux-video-retour-a-la-croissance-pour-un-marche-francais-tire-par-les-consoles.html

So no the gap is not bigger then Spain.

Ryng said Vita sold 60k in 2015, so the sales are Wii U 742k and Vita 510k. Now France is much more Nintendo savy then Germany so the gap would be smaller there.

It has already been pointed out that Vita software doesn't chart in Germany, so your logic doesn't quite hold up. In order for it to be true, you would need any sort of evidence that Vita in Germany is equal to or greater than Vita in France.

But instead of focusing on guesswork for individual countries, it's better to look at worldwide shipments. The Wii U has continually caught up (Vita launched about a year earlier, had a ~3m headstart), so why should it be out of the question that it has passed the Vita by the end of December 2015?

That source is a legit source and shows actual differences in hardware, unlike your guess of greater gap then Spain.

Your arguments of the software is somewhat odd since Vita is older then the Wii U and does not have support in the west anymore. Most Vita sales were in 2012, 2013 and 1st half of 2014. It is a shame we don't have Vita shipments but the very little sales sources we get show Vita is competitive with Wii U in terms of sales.

It is clear Wii U is gaining in Germany, US, and France in 2016 But the lead Vita had varies per country. If I had a gaf account, I could dig up a bunch of posts showing historical sales data between the two. But I don't so I can only cherry pick.

For example: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=67988416&postcount=121

(Q1 2012) 160k Vita to 0 Wii U software. About equal 110k in 2013 which was a drop from 2012. Should be obvious Vita got most of its lead from 2012 not 2016.
