I think this is the other way around, i mean games that release on both PS4&Vita are selling better on Vita. Plus i haven't heard of many companies dropping Vita support in Japan. Even over here, we've gotten more this year already from Indies/Major 3rd parties(even if it's a port) for the first time since 2012-2014. |
The support is not dropping.. is Thinning out... in Japan will have support until late 2017 for sure... but the west releases are gonna thin out a lot after this year.

I appreciated the other Blazblue games on Vita but they didn't sell very well and always seemed better suited to home consoles thanks to local multi-player. |
They didn't sell bad compared to consoles, and the game play is just fine, actually I find the Vita the more compelling to play Fighting games (the D-Pad is just glorious). And There's still people playing online Continuum Shift EXTEND on Vita (A 2012 release), so doubt that the Local Multiplayer is a factor here, even less when the portability and the Screen that makes the game look smoother is a Plus, Local Multiplayer on a handheld is not something you expect here, except for AdHoc mode that's included already. I think that majorly is because the space on Gamcards, Chronophantasma didn't include Japanese voice on the story mode, and Chronophantasma EXTEND had the story mode be a downloadble content, arround 2gb someone confirmed to me. Central Fiction will include LOTS of more contents from all previous games, six new characters, plus more modes, a longer Story mode, more BGM, etc, etc, etc.. So probably they are Just ruling out a +8gb digital only realease for Vita as gamecards doesn't support that.
Sony as allways with the Vita, didn't keep up the promise to get more space on Gamecards... They really have sucked HARD with this portable.
