They estimate 12m Wii U Vs 10m PS Vita

Oh wow!

That is a huge difference compared to VGChartz...... Which one is more reliable?

Without the misguided adjustment up of 1.4m (most of it went in Europe numbers) by vgc back in April '15 due to a misunderstaning of some news, probably, psv would be  at 11m here by that time and the whateve error wouldn't be huge ! Plus that, this fact has inflated the sales tracking of the following weeks trough the year and still does ( Thanks to that, we had psv selling suddenly x2 compared to last year, without a reason, as no price drop or major game release took place...)

PSV is overtracked, that's a common secret, it has been  proved two times by me but not in  the most official way...

Firstly, with the news about 82.3m psp in an interview... Before sony started combining psp with psv, their shipment total was 76.3m and 1.8m respectively, which sums up 79.1m, then there were 14.4m psp+psv shipped as of March 2015 (of which 6m are psps and 8.4m are psvs)... Do the Maths... PSP 82.3-76.3= 6m psp 14.4m-6m=8.4m psv, 1.8m+8.4m-10.2m as of March 2015... Nevertheless, this was doubted by some people who considered that the journalist fabricated the number of psp and not  educed it from the sony executive who by the way, was obviously asked about sales, but didn't say  anything about psv  but also t's isn't clarified if he mentioned anything for psp (other than stating that he gave  as a present  the last psp  33 units in the USA),  howbeit we can safely assume it.

Therefore we couldn't be certain for this  thesis... Apropos, vgc had psv at 10m by that time which became 11.4m later.

In the second place, we got a report of estimated shipments in late 2015, by a Japanese big  video games marketing firm, named cesa, who helds Japan VGAs and tokyo game show, which claiming that there  were 9.76m psv shipped by the end of 2014, which adds up with the extrapolation by the previous news pertaining to psp lifetime sales ( Allow me, to explain it: In the first calendar quarter of 2015, sony shipped 440k psp+psv, psp was almost discontinued it everywhere then, hence it represents an extremely tiny number of this figure,  if you  add the 440k official figure of shipments in FY14 Q4, to the 9.76m estimated shipment LTD as of december 2014, it equals to 10.2m, which obviously substantiates the first theory which is based to the allegdly made up 82.3m psp LT figure... .

(Vgc had psv at 9.36m in  the time interval that cesa report refers to. )

Again, some people disputed  my findings, ( by downplaying the company and its competence by saying that is as much as reliable as vgc can be), noting that is just an estimate, a technical one though,  let me point out! We're talking about a company which has relations with all Japanese video game corporations...

As for EEDAAR it seems to have insider infos (lets wait for someone expert in this, who is capable of enlightening us about it.)    Of course we won't take it as  gospel since it's not official, or it's a more official '''vgc'' (add to  that they have made a glaring mistake with 3DS, given Nintendo's shipment data) ergo you could just  spurn them, with such a mistake, which might be an innocent mistake, or omission, like not including New 3ds/xl, 2ds)! Although all other consoles numbers are about similar with vgc (diffencies are from 1m and under), except 3ds and psv which sans the adjustment up by  vgc, the discrepancy betwen them would be under reasonably.

In conclusion, eedaar might be another proof for what we debating for a long time, having said that, I do think that they considerably undertracking psv ( I could elaborate,  but I have written so much at yet, don't wanna expatiate anymore.)

Anyway, no matter what EDAAR shows ( which isn't a random organism, albeit perhaps not with the best reliability) , I would trust vgc numbers for psv, before the adjustment up more ( it would likely be about 11m), since they were matching somehow the deducted shipment numbers.
