Ok, but it's only an innovation for consoles. Mouse/keyboard is still better, and now that those are supported on consoles, finally, mouse/keyboard is the best choice for FPS.
dual-analog was the same kind of evolution. That started with Turok, I believe...around there...and it was an optional control scheme to classic stuff, like Goldeneye.
All you have is a less accurate pointing device than a mouse. That's the only difference that the Wiimote provides. Now, the stylus might be more accurate. I haven't used it for FPS. The DS is such a bad platform for FPS, though.
I'm all for console FPS games catching up to their PC equivalents, but the Wiimote is just a small step in the right direction.
