The alternative for me really is Starbound, I know because I've been playing it for nearly 2 and a half years now, it's not in 3D but still has plenty of the concepts NMS is sporting while SB sports it's own unique features, for me it's not really all that original because I;ve already played a game that has quite a bit in common, to you who has completely not known anything of Starbound, i totally would expect it being original to you, to me not so much. I'm not getting that last point though.
