I guess Nisekoi was finally translated. I usually read spoilers the same day most Jump manga come out...cuz I'm impatient. It's kind of amusing to see certain people's reactions I guess. I'm constantly reminded of the Nisekoi Otter Meme whenever I see people talk about it. XD
Nisekoi isn't something I'd recommend to everyone, even though it's one of my top 3 weekly manga. It overuses red herrings and common tropes, but balances it out with lots of lampshade hanging...which definitely can be a turn off for some people. Personally, I find it hilarious, and it has a charm I don't see often, and with a few exceptions, most of the cast is a lot of fun to watch. Whenever someone asks about it, and if they'd like it, my usual response is, "That depends. Are you me?"
That being said, even though it's primarily SoL/comedy, I can fully admit the romance is what draws me in the most. The premise of two polar opposites that are forced into a relationship, only to grow to become each other's most important person, is something that really took hold of me. I can't remember the last time I found a fictional pairing this endearing. It's fantastic!
The recent manga has been really harsh on me for that reason...though I know it's all necessary in the end. I'm looking forward to seeing the next few weeks for sure. The manga will probably be over soon...but my avatars certainly won't stop!

Anyhoo, I have a horrible manga experience to share. Last night I saw Gintama was updated on my usual manga site. I love the anime, so I thought I'd see how the manga read, just to get a taste.
That was a very poor decision on my part. I really should have asked Shadow first. I did not expect to see Kagura's dad to die on the very first chapter I tried out. Guh...figures I get one of the very few serious story arcs.
