You can argue this isn't the best game, but it REDEFINED many things. Saying it didn't define anything makes it just seems like a run-of-the-mill good game. Ocarina of Time is, was, and always be Legendary. Period.

OoT was a run-of-the-mill good game. Well, run-of-the-mill great game. It redefined nothing. What it did do however, is bring what PC gamers had for years to the masses. Everything about that game had seen before, if you played PC games.

Just becuse it's the first time 90% of gamers got the fortune of experiancing what PC gamers had seen in many other games does not make it the greatest game of all time.

I agree with you that it does however, make it Legendary.

Ugh, I hate people that always try to tell us how much more awesome PC gaming is when we're not even anywhere near that subject. Just go away if you have nothing constructive to add.

We are talking about a games place in history. OoT's place in history is to bring previously conceved game dynamics to the masses. It did that better then any game before it. I just wanted to make it clear that that's what it did. It did not reinvent anything.

So I'm just curious, what do you think made OoTof time legenday and what PC games did all that before it?

And if you bothered to actually read the topic rather than troll it with your lol PC is better crap, you would have noticed this topic isn't about OoT place in history, it's about cubed3 adjusting their reviews.

-edit-

And it's not that I doubt the things that made OoT special were done before, it's just that I ask because I have to wonder if TheRealMafoo is one of those tools that just hear people talk about how great PC gaming is and just repeat what others mentions.

Well a lot assumed it had to be, because it's somehow not possible to look just at the numbers objectively, which is what I was trying to do.

And I concede on the damn rounding thing. It apparently is just a guideline, not a hard and fast law. What the hell ever. It will still seem like an awfully big coincidence that this is when they did it.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
