You have a source for that?  Because the article in the OP suggests that some members turned down positions with Sony in order to join Codemasters.

That they were keeping the more talented devs and letting go (firing) the ones they did not want. It's literally in their press release. No one turned down lucrative positions at Sony to go work for a indie devhouse.
