the differences won't matter much for normal games, but some games might need this power to be playable in VR

its very likley that even without patches some older games may perform better if as it would be the same CPU architecture but the chip has more transitors or higher clock speed. The games who drop under 30 fps for example, of course only if if its really a better APU inside

yea some games with frame drops could see improved performance in places, but the games won't outperform the limitations the devs have set (like 30fps or sub 1080p res etc) without a patch

frame pacing in Bloodborne for example won't improve either as that's a quirk of the engine itself
