Depends. You're talking about the US so chances are they'll have medical insurance. That's what that insurance is for, no? So the doctors should probably do the job they're being paid to do...

If insurers want to put up their costs for people that use drugs because of that well they're free to do that if they want. And if the people die anyway or whatever, well that was their choice to make.

So basically you don't mind paying more money for insurance because people don't care about anyone else but themselves.
