I honestly have no idea why would anyone feel screwed over, if only thing that PS4K does (game-wise) is render the same PS4 games in slightly higher res - my bet is PS4 will still be the main platform for Sony until PS5.
If the rumours about 2xGPU are true, I would assume 1920x2160 anamorphic, with good built in upscaler, since 2xGPU is not enough for native 2160p. This would allow for higher res and slightly higher visual settings, but that's about it.
