Disney got no rights on thor, odin or any of them, it´s a old religious culture that dates back to 1700s and Norse means Norway, the northern people of scandinavia who reigned as powerful warriors for over 400 years who had Odin as the father of gods, similare to how it is with Zeus.<

The Norse or North People and the Nordic Gods date farther back than that.  Been around for over a thousand years, in the middle ages the famous Norse Vikings raided across Europe.

Safe to say the Nordic religion is public domain and no company can claim ownership over the stories or gods within it.

Yeah they were, but we have only discovered stories and artifact's from around 700s, so factually based on solid evidence, the only knowedge we know of the vikings are from 700s to around 1011 or something, where King olav den hellige converted the vikings by forced to christianity, around the time when the inquisition started. So we know nothing of the vikings before Ragnar, Harald Hårfagre etc etc, because at that time, the vikings were still limited to the raids by crusing around the cost-lines to russia and East-Europe because they feared the open sea, until they discovered a way to navigate. So i am only talking about the recorded  history. I did mess up with the 1700s. it were the 700s to 1010s.  It's just so sad that the harsh seasons and nature of Norway, which 90% of the land consist of bed-rock and 3 feet with dirt on top of it, so object's manage to decompose completely before we find it, we are lucky to find steel and silver, , we actually had to base our research on Icelandic-culture because they have lived with the language and the viking culture for the longest, even though they did change through the years, stories are best preserved there, the problem is that they only know the things that happen before they colonized Iceland and a little information from travellers before the end of the viking Era.
Everything about the Viking-Era is pretty much a mystery, that probably will never be discovered.

It's so funny to know that the Vikings found America, because they were looking for greenland and all they found was ice, so they went further west and actually believed they stranded on Greenland until they moved back to the old-Scandinavia 10 years later.
