Mathematically speaking it's going to take the PS3 at least two years to catch up to the 360. For it to happen any sooner either the 360 would have to crash and stop selling, or the PS3 would have to all of the sudden have wii like numbers. And as much as fanboys assume that either if not both of those scenarios are likely or even certain, they are not. The sales pattern that you see now is going to likely be the one for a good while since Sony has said they aren't cutting the price again any time soon.
