After an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign, Interdimensional Games has launched a new FIG crowdfunding campaign for Consortium: The Tower. Consortium: The Tower is said to be a sci-fi first-person immersive simulation, and the team aims to raise $300K in the next 34 days.

 

UMBRELLA CORPS – RESIDENT EVIL THIRD-PERSON MULTIPLAYER GAME – RELEASING ON JUNE 21ST

Capcom has released a new trailer for its upcoming Resident Evil third-person multiplayer game, Umbrella Corps, in which the Japanese publisher also confirmed the game’s release date. Umbrella Corps is powered by the Unity Engine, is coming on June 21st, and this brand new trailer focuses on character customization.

 

BATTLEFLEET GOTHIC: ARMADA – NEW TRAILER FOCUSES ON THE ELDAR FLEET

Focus Home Interactive has released a new trailer for Tindalos’ upcoming Unreal Engine 4-powered real-time strategy title, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada, that focuses on the Eldar fleet. The Eldar ships are said to be fast and highly manoeuvrable and their strategy is based around hit-and-run assaults.

A STEAM COMPETITOR IS TRYING TO GET ITS APP ONTO STEAM

Fresh off the revelation that a guy got his game onto Steam without Valve knowing comes the news that the makers of a games marketplace are trying to get their app onto Steam (a somewhat well known games marketplace itself) using Steam Greenlight. That's... an interesting business plan? It's at least as interesting as the fact that the app arrived on Greenlight on April 1st, a day known for hilarious pranks, japes, jokes, and outright lies.

OVERWATCH BETA NOW HAS RANKED COMPETITIVE PLAY

It's still only in beta, but Blizzard has already implemented a ranked competitive playlist in Overwatch. Rolled out earlier this week as part of a major new patch, Competitive Play can be accessed via the main 'Play' menu, but only if you've already reached level 25 in the regular, casual playlists. Players will compete "through a series of divisions and tiers in monthly seasons," the update reads.

 

FALLOUT 4 SURVIVAL MODE PATCHED TO STOP YOU EATING EVERYTHING

Fallout 4's survival beta has been updated, bringing with it a change that might sway survival sceptics: you are no longer the Commonwealth's hungriest person. Sure, it's survival tradition to make you devour anything that doesn't run fast enough—Sugar Bombs, moles rats, Abraxo, Dogmeat—but it's far from immersive, not to mention annoying. I eat four times a day (five, if it's been a bad one), and I can get shopping delivered, so why, in a world of scarcity, does the Lone Wanderer eat like a sumo at Thanksgiving?
