The original ONE version may not be pretty, but is very straight foward.

That's actually the part I really like. It's like I'm watching a western action movie with slow motion cut scenes, only in manga form. I can't think of any other manga that play that way...usually I have to imagine in my head how fight scenes are going down. It really fits the ridiculous tone the manga aims for. It's also nice that I can read through entire chapters quickly because of how little text there is a lot of times. Just pure action...and I love it.

I only just passed the anime material, but I thought it was interesting how differently the manga reads from the anime. The anime's climax arc was basically just an introductory arc for the S-class heroes.
