Even then, if NX is successful, and remember here that successful dosent mean 100 million units lifetime sold, it will get games from everyone. If NX sells, it dosent matter if the last console was a flop, or if FF hasnt been at a Nintendo home console for 1000 years(this argument is so flawed by the way) or even the mythos that third party sells bad in Nintendo consoles. If NX succeeds, they will get it.

I understand and totally agree with you IF we look at those individual factors taken in isolation. However when combined, it does not really paint a pretty picture. Nintendo's relations with 3rd party developers has been terrible since at least the Nintendo 64(and only just bad on the SNES) when they were charging exorbitant royalties for publishers per cartridge.

The Wii sold well over 100 million units, and yet, did not see a single mainline Final Fantasy. So the notion of "if the NX sells, it will get it" is far from being an absolute truth. I could understand if you said "if the NX is powerful enough and garners a large enough userbase, then it will get it", but you didn't say that :P

But hey, I could be very wrong on this one, just my opinion on the subject.

Well I am. This is such a flemsy arguemeny and you know it. They would have had to build the game from the ground up entirely again to get XIII to run on it. But I think two Crystal Chronicle games, and the Dragon Quest games appearing on it shows how invested S-E was with the Wii. If it is easy to port to I'm not even entirely sure it will need a huge userbase. It would in a way help to reach that 10 million goal by putting it on the NX, and if they want that bad enough they'll do it (just like it coming to PC).
