Now, I don't think the demos we've gotten so far are really a good indicator of how the final game will look, since the game is still pretty far away.
However, bad AA, in my opinion, totally ruins a game visually. It doesn't matter how good your textures or lighting is if everything is surrounded by sharp, pixelated lines.
Also, blaming the console makers because a developer has trouble maintaining performance that other devs don't have an issue with is weird thing to suggest.
