I have to call BS on this. Unless Nintendo is going back on its word about not wanting to make an expensive console. If these things are true (12 GB of RAM, more powerful CPU, 50% better GPU, and a HD screen controller), I see a $399 console. And DDR3 RAM? Not GDDR5? That's going to be a bottleneck for future games.

Has Nintendo acknowledged the original price of the Wii U as expensive? Also 30-50% increase in power does not sound like a lot to worry about price. In some areas that is the difference between the X1 versus PS4 if I'm not mistaken (Gpu).

Yes, they said Wii U ended having higher price than they wanted, remember Wii U is first Nintendo console they sold with loss at launch. Also when Wii U launched has similar power and capabilities like PS3/Xbox 360 but with $100 higher price point, that is definitely one of reasons why Wii U failed.

I dont think NX will have price point above $299.
