Its not full BC and the games perform even worse. Yes the PS2 run the games with a little more framerate, texure filtering, faster loading times and better picture quality if component cables were used.

A huge factor? I didn't even know it had BC. I never tried my ps1 games on ps2, switched over, never looked back.
