Square put this demo out form people to try. They said "Hey! FFXV is coming up! Want to try out the gameplay? Here, play this!" If it runs like shit, they only have themselves to blame.
Framerate drops into the low 20's and even into the teens is not a minor imperfection. Especially there really isn't a whole lot going on in this demo.
Also, when did it become the go to excuse for bad performance to claim that people are playing the game "wrong" or not focusing on the "right" things?
