And we all know what happened to Sega lol

Segas downfall had nothing to do with releasing their games on PC, and more to do with the Sega CD and 32x leaving a bad impression, and Sony coming along at the right time and doing what Sega was doing only better.

the poor development and game library of the Saturn had far more of an impact than the 32x and Sega CD, which were advertised as more add on expansions than anything else.

The Saturn was essentially the end of Sega because at that point they abandoned a lot of their popular series for the gen and had a very slanted library in terms of genre. They also did not support it long enough or hard enough.

by the time they jumped into the Dreamcast they had upset part of their fanbase and frankly made some poor design decisions with the system and couldn't compete against slightly better specs WITH a Dvd player attached as well.

but it was the Saturn more than anything. You screw up once and make fans think that you're not going to stick with a console and make their purchase worth while and then they may never trust you again

Sega to this day has alienated a lot of their better IPs too, for whatever reason still making some of the same mistakes now as then
