Given how often MicroSony makes deals with publishers for "console exclusive" versions of their games, one could easily argue there is a lot more evidence that the overlap in the two markets is a hell of a lot smaller than people make it out to be in these doom and gloom threads.

The idea that gamers who already own the console are pissed that games are coming to PC is equally baffling to me. I mean.. we already own the console, why do we care that other games are going to PC?

This isn't it, Companies launch console Exclusives for a lot of Reasons, and Launch on PC/Console, is better for the console than launch for Pc/Console/OtherConsole, they just don't want that, look at Left 4 Dead, Alan Wake, and other games that went to PC, they sold nearly the same, and some times even more than their console's Counter part, of course they would have sold more Consoles, if the game was Exclusive.

I am aware that, for example, Street Fighter V only on PS4 and PC is better for Sony than Street Fighter V on PS4, PC, and Xbone. The point is though that a PC release alongside the console release is not seen as a big deal to Microsoft or Sony. They routinely work out deals that sees a PC release alongside a game they essentially market as one of their own exclusives. "Console exclusive game", they have no problem putting that on the cover. Because they know most of the people they cater to, could not care less about a PC version.

They don't consider it a big deal. Hardcore gamers on the Internets do.
