Apple's model might sound great on paper but in reality it's not working. You realize there's a lawsuit against apple currently, for making older models unusable with the latest iOS revisions.
I laughed when Microsoft said they were going to "refresh" or upgrade the Xbone, and I could see them doing it because they went from having the greatest console to not understanding the console market, but I didn't think Sony would entertain such an idea. I guess we will just have to wait for Sony to respond to this "rumor". |
i also have an older iphone: 4s. i can assure you that even when i was on the latest iphone app crashes were common. there are a lot of bad developers on the app stores. but the main ones like my bank or netflix or facebook or instagram all target older versions. of course they don't go back forever,.. i've had a few games i could download due to being too far back now but i'm also like 5 version back now. that part is the thing i'm most worried about with consoles. on iphone all software is digital download so it is easy to tell a user they can't use this software due to not meeting the min requirements. not sure how MSony handles that at retail.
