You might have had a valid point if it wasn't for the fact that games that already exist have done more with better performance.

Except that the game is still 6 months away from release. And the tech demo isn't going to be part of the game. So the comparison isn't valid to begin with.

Regarding "done more" comment. No RPG on PS4 has global illumination dynamic lightning system. All other rpgs so far have baked lightning system with a day - night cycle. In addition to the fact that the cloud and weathering system is also calculated in real-time, meaning the rain for example has affects on certain aspects ( weaker fire spell, stronger lightning ). The big variety in fighting styles and different combos. Something some games like the Witcher lacked. The animations as well are impressive. DF has already talked about how advanced the animation system is. But the demo doesn't present it probably. Young Noctis model and animations are average for sure. I would also like to mention the scale of the enemies you will be fighting, Shadow of Colossus kind of enemies.

Could you please explain "done more" because it doesn't make sense to me unless you were actually  comparing those games to a tech demo.

I get the feeling that everyone seems to ignore the recent trailers that we got. Which doesn't make sense when we talk about something like the graphics.

Apologies for the long post.

i was going to reply but i believe you've said enough, so I'll just mirror that... I could add, using ice spells that change the way the surrounding environment looks and have it impact the battle. using lightning in wet areas to increase the power of the magic.

sure, there's plenty of games doing more with better performance... lol
