Will 2008 Be Playstation 3's Year Of Domination?

This question is strictly out of curiosity. I'm not trying to upse anyonet or rain on their parade. Why is it that PS3 fans and Xbox 360 fans frequent talk about domination and winning when they are, of course, talking about the struggle for 2nd place. I realize that this is the only interesting race left; the other being pretty much over but it just struck me odd that the title was "Will 2008 be Playstation 3's Year of Domination" not "Will 2008 be the Year of Playstation 3's Domination of the XBox."

PS3 and 360 fans keep taking pot-shots at each other because we can no longer see the Wii fans way out in front and therefore can't involve them in the fray... while the "Wii" folk casually trot toward the finish line, we PS3 and 360 advocates wrestle with each other in the dirt.
