I was going to agree with you until someone pointed out that when it's usually a white person committing the same crime they don't say British, or American,  or German, they usually just say someone has been caught for committing such and such an act. 

Well if its someone feom another country I think its okay to point it out.

But reporting rape stories in general is useless given they are cherry picked by whats more interesting or upsetting. This is why I dont watch local news.

That's pretty much how media spins everything. White guy shoots white guy and it's a 1 minute mention in a single broadcast. White guy shoots black guy or Muslim guy while yelling racial epithets and it's a month-long news bite. "If it bleeds it leads" is the news media mantra. Meaning stories that draw the most ratings will be the ones to get the most attention.
