I'm not American so for what you call high school first two years we have either O level or Matriculation and last 2 we have A level or F.sc. I'm about to finish with my A level will give final exams in may. So we have fixed curririculum with little choice. We have Pure Maths 1,2 and 3 stats 1 and 2 and mechanics 1 and 2. Our choices are either P1 and M1 for first year and p3 and m2 for second or p1 s1 and p3 and s2 or p1 m1 and p3 s1. You can take p1 p2 but that counts as a one year course. I've taken p1 m1 p3 s1. So in pure maths we have Binomial Expansion complex numbers vectors in 2d and 3d integration differentiation differential equations trigonometry solving equations numerically a little bit of mensruation partial fractions etc. In m1 we have kinematics and dynamics with integration and differentiation. In s1 we have probability permutations combinations mean standard deviation variance expectation normal distribution and that other distribution I can't remember the name of
