Angry birds had a feature where they would put QR codes on the button of figurines. It'd be placed on the front camera, which'd scan the QR code and the figurine would be used in the game.

Nintendo will probably keep amiibo for their consoles and devices, but i'd cringe if they made it for their apps

Amiibos are NFC based if I'm not mistaken, which is a technology most modern phones have.

I haven't kept myself up with phones and NFC compatibility.

All I know is that when Angry birds were huge, the company were greedy and made some overpriced pieces of trash as DLC(basically the worse version of Amiibos). They didn't have NFC, but instead used QR codes.

Either way, using things such as plastic figurines and whatnot for apps is disgraceful. Save that for consoles, not my phone.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.
