That really depends.
Huge games can only afford to still be sold at $60 because they are produced and sold in masses with lower a lot of costs and provides a huge amount of income, but some other games which only appeal to specific niches are better on keeping a normal price to get the most money they can as their games will not reach a bigger marketshare even if they are cheaper, so they would only be losing money and even smal budget titles would turn to be non-profitable and thus die.

There are a whole lot of things to consider while pricing something, being cheaper is definitely not always the better option, it can be, of course, but it can also not be. In this case, I don't think a smaller price would actually attract more people, it has its niche reach, people outside of it will hardly even know or have any interest in the game/franchise, so decreasing the price would be harmfull. It could be a good idea if it had a bigger appeal and was being held of by the price, which is not the case here, IMO.

If the price is forbiding it will never have a biger reach, thats how I see the situation at least. And if you go lower price you can go full digital and dsave a lot of money, and you can self publish saving even more money.

Anyway I hope the game makes the devs money, I love my JRPGs and I hope they keep comming, even if I wont buy them all.
