The android market and iOS market are big, but that's a long term bigger picture scenario that is not something they should push right now. What I suggested is Sony releasing a non gaming slated VR headset that was designed to interface with modern smart devices, including smart phones, tvs, basic PC apps etc. it would be of lower quality but very consumer friendly in price - and I hope they do this. But from a strategical point of view, the mass market has a very short memory and if VR doesn't gain traction the device will be left to die. This is in stark contrast to, and also why Sony should appease their core gaming audience first - who are far more likely to invest big $ into software and accessories, while generally supporting it as a platform for a longer time.

Even if it sold more copies on the PS4, what's the point in bragging with that, when the most profitable platform for them was PC due to digital sales and GOG.com store? Do you think Sony can keep making exclusives when they don't even sell 1 or 2 million copies on the PS4? Infamous Second Son is the best selling PS4 exclusive (not including remasters) at 2.69M on spot #26. So the top 25 are 23 multiplatform games and 2 remasters. 

So if the PSVR comes to PC also expect some of their exclusives to come too.

Are you taking into account Digital sales?

Again Sony is not going to bring their 1st party games again I doubt to PC..they are keeping playstation 4 games exclusive to PlayStation.. Their mobile efforts are not the same as their living room console. Again consoles are their platform , not a PC why would they Support PC with playstation VR , when 3rd party PC developers will support it for them on PC.

 

Again by releasing their playstation Exclusives from 1st party would be like defeating the purpose in selling a console because does Sony support Windows OS now with development studios? For any playstation software even now? No..is the answer
