So because Sony gives an upgrade to run PS4 games in better performance after the speculated 3th or 4th year of the PS4s lifetime its better now to have countless of upgrades every month on PC? Or losing physical media and other console advantages?

Also youre from Brazil, maybe a new PS4 with higher Brazilian taxes makes it worse over PC gaming for you, but not for me and others

Oh please. At least stick to facts instead of exaggerating.

you are exaggerating everyone can read how much you have posted and go to topics that have nothing to do with my post.

Performance is a huge deal and if it turns out the price of performance isn't coming down, that's a huge downside for the console.

This model will be priced @400-500$ and will be twice the performance the new leaks have shown. The older model will defeniatley go down in price for new and even more so in used condition. So what you are talking about?

And if you're having countless upgrades for PC, you're either doing it wrong or have too much money to be able to even complain about the situation.

Well this is what people essentiality are complaing about: having a second option, so why does it make sense now to have a billion options on PC? Again you put words into my mouths i havent said, no will force you to buy any new piece of hardware.

I've been having the same setup since July, 2014, and I've been more than happy with the performance. I've no intention to upgrade for at least a year now. You can get pretty good performance in games even with older hardware.

Calling physical media an advantage is debatable. If you get a ton of new games and plan to resell them, physical media is an advantage. If you have patience, PC is cheaper thanks to its better sales. As for 'other console advantages',

Nope.

Even if you are a die hard digital fan you wouldnt dissagree with the argument that its better to have Physical Media supported on your platform than not having it at all. There will always be moments with friends who will lend their games to you, or even rental stores. Or if the game is being pulled off from the stores like Marvel vs Capcom 3. You see on consoles you have the option, and it works.

These other console advantages are: no cheaters, controller support right of the box and as only option multiplayer and countless of other examples.

but consoles have been moving closer and closer to PCs for a good while now. A lot of the former simplicity is already gone, and the advantage in initial cost seems to be under threat too.

And? PCs advantage is allready gone now too, if i will be able to play my future console games in better performance like 60fps or 1440p on the latest AAA titles what does PC has for anadvatage left over consoles then?

I will have my exclsuives like Bloodborne and Uncharted 4 as well having almost the best running multiplats. And lets face it most of you PC gamers arent running the latest Titan Xs so dont come with that argument,  this new PS4 model will be more than enough to match PC gaming for the next 5 years.

I'm not saying PC is the better choice because it depends entirely on what you're looking for and what your consuming habits are, but this is a direct strike against two important advantages people have said consoles have over PC: price, and not having to worry about hardware upgrades for the duration of a console generation. Technically you can ignore the new model, but then you get an inferior experience, and you still have to consider whether or not to get the new model.

The new model will be lower priced than the equillant on PC and the older model will drop in price even more, so again i dont understand your argument here.

This duration of a console life span holds 5 years. If the PS4.5 comes out this year it will be 3 years, 4 years if its next year. People didnt worry about when they upgraded their PS1s, 2s, 3s or any older console with a newer one. This is even better as it will ensure BC and Forward compatibility.

Yes you can ignore the new model, if you cant ignore that and its mentally that much of an issue for you PC gaming sure as hell isnt the answer. Maybe the answer is that the world isnt all about you.
