Beside Sony can actually ignore that market completely because they have their own platform they want to expand.

Its the same logic as Sony not releasing games on Xbox. They want to increase the value of their own platform by keeping things exclusive.

But like I said, Sony doesn't make any money on the hardware, only on games and PS+

At launch Sony didn't make any money on Hardware but a couple of months later they were already profiting off of hardware alone.

Sony has literally been profiting off of hardware for over 2 years.
