It is not a demo though. The teaser trailer indicates that it is not a part of the main game. You can think of it as a side episode. I think SE want to build the hype through it, that is why it seems important to them. Everyone can download the "demo". So I personally don't see a problem in that.

On a side note. Sleeping and dreaming are important aspects in XV strory. I think the tale of young Noctis dream will be important in that regard.
